meet the expectations of family and society." - Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, M.D.
"Parents don't make mistakes because they don't care, but because they care so deeply." - Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, M.D.

A childhood and education that leaves you ready for optimum life experiences and opens up the world to you, that gives you the tools you need to ask questions and investigate things - those are the things that I want for all children." - Renetta M. Cooper, Program Specialist, Office of Childcare, LA County Chief Administrative Office
Regarding her passion in the early childhood field:

So many awesome quotes! I especially like the one of Dr. T. Berry Brazelton....it is so true. In our team meetings, we sometimes have therapist or others who get frustrated with parents who don't do what we think they should and I get a feeling it is like "us" and "them". When everything we know about early childhood tells us we have to be partners with the parents. How can you establish a partnership if you are blaming parents? I am going to put this quote up on the board for our next meeting as a gentle reminder, thank you!
